Employment

Our employment law practice provides broad experience and strategic guidance across the full spectrum of employment-related matters.

Our Expertise

Our Employment Law practice advises and represents employers, senior executives, and individual employees on the full spectrum of employment and labour law matters  . We act on both advisory and contentious matters, including litigation and representation before courts and administrative authorities, and assist with the preparation of employment documentation and practical legal opinions.

We handle routine employment matters as well as complex issues such as transfers of undertakings, collective redundancies, organisational restructurings, and workforce relocations. Our services include drafting and negotiating employment and executive agreements, advising on GDPR and data protection compliance in the workplace, and developing governance frameworks, including employee handbooks, policies, and HR-related procedures. We also assist with social insurance contributions, statutory benefits, provident fund matters, workplace equality and health and safety, employee incentive schemes, and employment and residence permits for non-EU nationals.

We regularly liaise with relevant authorities and bodies, including the Ministry of Labour and Social Insurance, employers’ organisations, trade unions, works councils, and the Registrar of Provident Funds, ensuring that our clients remain compliant while effectively managing operational and workforce risk.

How We Support Our Clients

We deliver clear, commercially driven advice aligned with our clients’ operational needs and strategic goals. Our team works closely with decision-makers to understand business priorities, organisational structures, and individual concerns, allowing us to develop tailored legal strategies that align with both operational and commercial objectives.

We take a hands-on approach, with partners actively involved throughout every matter. Employment issues often require prompt and careful attention, particularly in sensitive situations such as disciplinary proceedings, internal investigations, organisational restructurings, or dismissals. We help clients navigate these processes effectively, balancing legal, reputational and operational risk.

We also advise international clients on employment-related immigration matters, including work permits, visa requirements and residency processes, ensuring that employers and employees can address regulatory requirements efficiently when relocating or engaging personnel in Cyprus.
